The South Bay Cup was founded in 1996 by Kevin Costello, advanced windsurfing instructor, and runs every Monday night in May, June, and July beginning at 5:00 pm at the Shoreline Lake in Mountain View, California.
There are 3 or 4 heats for each race. In each heat, points are awarded to the top 5 places and the winner of the race is the racer with the most points.
Racers also accumulate points over the course of the summer so the winner of the South Bay Cup is the racer with the most points at the end of the series. Most participants are on race boards and sails larger then 7.0; however the races are open to everyone and you will probably have someone at your level to compete with.
Monday night races!!!
